SUMMARY:Government Affairs Committee (GAC) Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is the advocacy committee of the Parker Chamber of Commerce.  We meet monthly to discuss issues at the local\, county\, and state levels that impact business.\n\n\n\nWe typically have guest speakers from 9:00 - 9:45am.  Chamber members are welcome to attend the guest speaker portion of GAC meetings.\n\n\n\nThis month\, we will focus on "Workforce Housing in Parker & Douglas County."  Our guest speaker will be Mari Ciano\, Executive Director of the Douglas County Housing Partnership.\n\n\n\nMaria Ciano serves as the Executive Director of the Douglas County Housing Partnership (DCHP)\, a multi-jurisdictional housing authority dedicated to improving housing affordability in Douglas County through strategic partnerships with private developers and local governments. A US Navy veteran and the NAHRO Person of the Year for 2024\, Maria leads initiatives that bridge planning\, policy\, and community needs\, including spearheading efforts that earned a 2025 DRCOG Metro Vision Award for regional collaboration\, aimed at expanding programs that address the full spectrum of workforce and attainable housing needs. \n\n\n\nIf you are a chamber member and would like to attend\, please hit the register button.
