SUMMARY:Government Affairs Committee (GAC) Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is the advocacy committee of the Parker Chamber of Commerce.  We meet monthly to discuss issues at the local\, county\, and state levels that impact business.\n\n\n\nWe typically have guest speakers from 9:00 - 9:45am.  CHAMBER MEMBERS are welcome to attend the guest speaker portion of GAC meetings.\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker: Michelle Kivela\, Parker Town Manager\n\nMichelle Kivela was appointed Parker Town Manager in September 2017. In her role\, she oversees the Town?s $200 million+ annual budget\, Town infrastructure and all financial and capital assets. She is responsible for nearly 400 full-time employees and 600 part-time and seasonal employees. Michelle has been a Parker resident since 2001. She has more than 30 years of municipal government experience in a wide variety of capacities and positions. Through her previous positions\, she has overseen many functions and departments\, including Public Works\, Police\, Finance\, Human Resources\, Parks and Recreation and Community Outreach. Prior to joining the Town of Parker in 2012\, Michelle served as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Lone Tree for seven years. She also has held positions with the City of Greenwood Village\, the City of Sugar Land\, Texas and the Town of Addison\, Texas. \n\n \n\nIf you are a chamber member and would like to attend\, please hit the register button.
