The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is the advocacy committee of the Parker Chamber of Commerce. We meet monthly to discuss issues at the local, county, and state levels that impact business.
Chamber members are welcome to attend the guest speakers portion of GAC meetings. Please RSVP so we can plan for space.
Guest Speakers:
Erin Kane, Superintendent, Douglas County Schools
Erin Kane is the Superintendent of the Douglas County School District (DCSD). DCSD is the third-largest school district in Colorado, the largest employer in Douglas County, and is the #1 performing school district in the Denver area. Under Erin's leadership, DCSD has become a national leader in academics and innovation, while building a positive and supportive culture for the school district’s staff and students.

Angela Thomas, 3-to-5 Committee
Angela Thomas is a longtime civic and community advocate in Douglas County with a strong interest in local government, responsible growth, and community engagement. She has served in numerous community and political leadership roles, was a candidate for Douglas County Commissioner, and most recently helped lead the successful citizen-driven 3-to-5 Initiative, which collected more than 23,000 signatures to place a measure expanding the Board of County Commissioners on the November ballot.
