Description
Personality in Business: This Ain’t Your Momma’s Meyers-Briggs
Humans are creatures of exchange and we transact to survive.
Do you love people or profit margins? Find out where you fit best in a transaction.
What moods and attitudes do you project on others that can affect relationships with clients, employees, and vendors?
What do you misinterpret as results that could damage your business’ profits?
Joni Rocco, co-owner of Artistic Floors by Design, knows what it means to fit in a transaction. Several years ago, she moved from the accounting and assessment phase of the hardwood flooring business into a better fit: sales, which allowed her husband, Joe, to move into his perfect fit: production. Together, they increased their business’ gross sales from $190,000 in 2011 to more than $420,000 in 2015 and increased their profit margins in that same timeframe from a 30 to a 45, which is difficult to do in the construction industry. Joni will provide specific examples from their work together to demonstrate how personality and behaviors within a transaction can affect business relationships and results.
